I am a Computer Science graduate student at North Carolina State University concentrating in cybersecurity, where I’m a member of the Wolfpack Security and Privacy Research Lab and president of HackPack. Professionally, I am a security engineer at CyberSkyline, where I create web security challenges for the National Cyber League, National Security Agency, President’s Cup, and more.
Research Interests
My research interests center on web security. The modern web is an enormous, layered stack of technologies that are all supposed to parse, serialize, transmit, and operate on data consistently and safely. They often don’t, and finding instances where those assumptions break is extremely interesting to me.
Though it is a dying art, I also love manual penetration testing. Understanding complex systems from architecture to implementation and finding creative ways to abuse a system’s mechanisms is facinating (and fun!)
